"A Man of Many Talents” are the only words that can describe Elliott Olson. Olson, who has been privileged enough in his short lifetime to carry the job titles of Professional Snowboarder, Actor, Model, Stuntman, and now Video Game Designer/Programmer has not only lived up to these very important roles but has excelled at them. Olson who grew up in Kirkland, Washington began snowboarding at the age of ten. At the young age of fifteen he turned pro and within just a few years became one of top snowboarders in the world. Olson has been featured in a multitude of different magazines and newspapers ranging from Snowboarder to Entertainment Weekly! During the height of Olson’s career, his many sponsors included such names as Rusty Surfboards, Special Blend, Oakley, Arnette, Scott, Nitro, Fishpaw, UGG, SMP, and Swix. All of which had some involvement in sending him to all points of the globe. This brought him to some of the most prestigious riding spots around the globe including Alaska, Canada, Chile, Germany, and New Zealand to represent their companies in competitions and photo shoots.
In 1998 after competing in the Vans Triple Crown of Snowboarding and ESPN’s Winter X Games, he took time out of his busy schedule to parley his snowboarding success into a successful career in Hollywood. Within eighteen months Olson surrounded himself with the best agents and managers in the business including Kazarian Spencer & Associates, The Morgan Agency, Vice President of the International Conferences of Mangers, George F. Weston Jr., and David Van Mauren of ABC Productions. Through his own hard work and the help of a great support system, Olson beat out other Hollywood hopefuls to be cast in several international commercials, television shows, movies and ad campaigns. Everything from potato chips and video games to long distance phone services had Olson’s name on it. He even did TV work for the beloved Walt Disney Company.
While working for Imagine Media at the 2000 E3 conference in Los Angeles California, Olson realized that all his training as an extreme athlete and TV spokesman were leading him toward his real passion, that of a game programmer and one day video game designer. For years Olson has tinkered with building his own games in private and decided the time was right to invest the earnings of his career into one of only a few schools in the United States with a degree in Game Design. You guessed it, Full Sail Real World Education in Orlando, Florida. So Olson decided to take a fifteen month sabbatical from snowboarding and acting to pour all his energy into Full Sail's intensive Game Design Program. This hard work has paid off as he graduated with honors. So now what for the man who has done everything? Simple, Olson plans to take his extreme sports connections, along with his understanding of the physical nature of the human body from being a world class athlete, and mix that with his talent for wowing audiences from his career in acting and make the most innovative, fresh video games in the business. So as the old saying goes "Look out world here he comes!" For more on Elliott Olson, please check our gallery and press release pages.
